We just replaced a whole slew of our regular ole 60W light bulbs with these fancy GE CFL bulbs. Sam’s Club had them for $12.63 for an 8-pack! We’ll see how long they last. At a rating of 8,000 hours we ought to get 4 to 5 years out of each one. Assuming they last that long, not including the energy savings, each one ends up being 2/3 as expensive as a regular incandescent bulb.

I thought the color they put out was fine until my wife said “the hallway looks a little green.” Maybe it is time to break out the paint rollers…
